every time i think, i take 10 damage
and everytime we kiss I swear I could fly
I do in fact have that summertime sadness
“It’s getting kind of hard to believe things are going to get better I’ve been drowning too long to believe that the tide’s going to turn / And I’ve been living too hard to believe that things are going to get easier now I’m still trying to shake off the pain from the lessons I’ve learned”— Jason Segal, Draculas Lament

Movies You Should Watch: Forgetting Sarah Marshall
If for some reason you haven’t seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall yet, save it for a day you feel absolutely defeated. Save it for your all time low. Save it for the day you find out you failed a class or your crush has absolutely no interest in you or you’ve been dumped or fired. Even if you’ve seen it before, a movie with a good message can remind you of things that are easy to forget during your darkest hours.
In Forgetting Sarah Marshall, the main character, Peter, is dumped by his starlet girlfriend, Sarah Marshall. Completely devastated, he falls into an alcohol infested depression. He goes on vacation to Hawaii in an attempt to get his mind off of the breakup, only to find that his ex and the man she left him for are staying at the same hotel. Peter learns to stop running from his problems, stop blaming everyone but himself for them, pick himself up, accept that life happens, and move on. He stops dwelling on negativity and his circumstances improve almost immediately. Comedies and children’s movies are often a light hearted god send, reminding us of the lessons we easily lose sight of in our busy, complicated lives. How many of us find ourselves with our hair a mess, in sweatpants, hiding under our covers eating potato chips and sobbing our lives away watching Netflix? The movie is a great example of what happens when we stop taking care of ourselves, and how dangerous and psychologically damaging it truly is. You should watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall when you’ve lost sight of all that life has to offer, or that tomorrow is always an opportunity for change and progress.
I miss you so much. My heart hurts. Just stop this bullshit and come back home.

May your next period be light and end quickly
This is literally now my favorite post ever, because its become thousands of reblogs consisting of passing on good fortune. Meanwhile many of y’all added your own comments saying your thanks, and continuing the chain by adding your own little bit of wishful thinking. You are all wonderful.
may you not leak even once
NOT EVEN when you sneeze or cough!
may you always have what you need when you need it.
May you have no cramps.
May you have no headaches
may you start in your own home/somewhere you are comfortable, in your least favourite underwear and with plenty of pads/tampons on hand
May you not start in your sleep and have a horrifying nightmare about drowning in a flood of blood
may you not stain your favourite pair of underwear
May you not feel angry all the time
So far this has worked pretty well for me
May you feel enough for yourself
May you not get blood on the mattress.
I just want you to come home and hold me.
